AETCs and the Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiative

The Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative focuses on the approximately 50 jurisdictions (cities, states, and counties) where new HIV infections are most concentrated. These are shown below.

Each of the eight AETC regions has at least one EHE participating jurisdiction (listed below). The regional AETCs support EHE activities in their regions with targeted training and technical assistance.

In addition, the national AETCs support the initiative and the AETC network. The National Clinician Consultation Center (NCCC) provides clinician-to-clinician consultation regarding nPEP, PrEP, and HIV testing, diagnosis, and management.

The National Coordinating Resource Center (NCRC) coordinates and develops resources for health care teams to utilize in providing cutting-edge, quality care to optimize health in people with HIV and reduce transmission in communities. The NCRC launched and maintains a mobile app, HIV Care Tools, featuring clinical reference tools and a national directory of training and consultation services.

The National HIV Curriculum (NHC) provides free high-quality online clinician training in all aspects of HIV prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
